Trying to fit in- but never belonging….
CHOICES & TENSION
INCREASED COMPLEXITY & PRIVILEGED
As I got older the tensions became more complex, and yet somewhat privileged, because I had choices that because of the sacrifices my parents made- I got to choose.
I saw my choices much differently going forward.
1) I can leverage the tensions- recognize that its not eighter/or- both/and .
I am both – Honduran and Haitian, my nationality is American, and more importantly
I’m a Global Citizen.
